Privacy Policy for Score Tracker

Effective 17 August 2026 · Last updated 8 October 2026

Score Tracker does not collect any of your data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting. It contains no code that connects to the internet, and it does not send information anywhere. Everything you enter stays on your phone, apart from your phone's own backup (see section 6) and anything you choose to share (see section 5).

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Score Tracker app (com.cudafishgames.scoretracker) by CudaFishGames ("we", "us"), on both platforms it is sold for:

The app works the same way on both, and so does this policy. Where the two operating systems differ — mainly in how backups and permissions work — the section says so.

2. Information we collect

We collect nothing. Specifically, Score Tracker does not collect, transmit, sell, or share:

Score Tracker contains no advertising, no analytics software, and no third-party tracking components of any kind. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and on iPhone it never asks for permission to.

This section is about what we do. It does not restrict what you may choose to do with your own scores: you can send a result to someone yourself, which is described in section 5.

3. Information stored on your device

To work as a score tracker, the app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone:

Choosing a background photo does not give the app access to your photo library. On both Android and iPhone, the system photo picker runs outside the app and hands it only the one photo you select, and the app keeps a copy of that photo alone. The copy is deleted when you tap Remove photo, when you pick a different photo, or when the app's data is removed (see section 9).

This information is written only to the app's private storage area on your device, and we have no access to it. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or recover it for you. The app never transmits it off your phone itself. It can leave in only two ways, and the app performs neither: your phone's own backup, described in section 6, and a result you choose to send as text or as a score card through your phone's share sheet, described in section 5.

The app also offers a Quick score mode, which keeps nothing at all — that data exists only while the game is open.

4. No network access

Score Tracker contains no code that connects to the internet. It has no server to talk to, and it makes no network connections of any kind.

Android

The app does not request the Android internet permission, so the operating system prevents it from making any network connection whatsoever. This is not merely a promise about our intentions — it is enforced by Android itself and can be verified in the app's manifest.

iPhone

iOS has no internet permission for an app to leave out, so on iPhone this rests on the app's code rather than on the operating system. You can check it yourself: turn on Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report, use Score Tracker for a while, and it will show no network activity for the app.

5. Sharing a result

Score Tracker can share a game's scores two ways, both through your phone's standard share sheet: as a plain-text message, and as a score card — an image of the result that the app draws on your phone. These are the only ways anything you have entered can leave the device, and either happens only when you tap "Share text" or "Share card" and pick somewhere to send it.

Three things worth being clear about:

Nothing is shared automatically, nothing is shared in the background, and we never see the message or the card, or know that you sent one.

6. Backups

If your phone's backup is turned on, it includes Score Tracker's saved games, custom games, settings and background photo, the same way it backs up your other apps. When you set up a new phone from that backup, or copy your old phone across, they come back with the app. On both platforms:

Android

Android backs up apps when your phone's backup is on (on most phones, Settings → Google → Backup). On Android 9 and later the backup is end-to-end encrypted with your phone's screen lock (PIN, pattern or password), so Google cannot read it either. If your phone has no screen lock, the backup is still encrypted, but not with a secret only you hold.

Android does not let you exclude a single app from its backup. If you would rather none of this is backed up, turn off backup for your phone in Android's settings. You can delete an existing backup from Google Drive, under Backups.

iPhone

iPhone backs up apps to iCloud when iCloud Backup is on, and to your computer if you back up your phone with Finder or the Apple Devices app. iCloud backups are encrypted. Apple holds the keys to them unless you turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, in which case they are end-to-end encrypted and Apple cannot read them either. A backup made on your computer is encrypted if you choose to encrypt it.

Unlike Android, iPhone lets you choose which apps are included in your iCloud backup, so you can leave Score Tracker out while backing up everything else. Both that choice and deleting a backup are in your iCloud settings, under your name in the Settings app.

7. Permissions

Score Tracker asks for no permissions on either platform. Choosing a background photo needs none, because the system photo picker only ever gives the app the one photo you select.

Android

The app requests no Android permissions. It additionally blocks several permissions that would otherwise be included automatically, including internet access, external storage access, camera, microphone, photo and video library access, and the ability to draw over other apps.

iPhone

The app never shows a permission prompt. It does not ask for access to your photo library, camera, microphone, contacts, location, or to track you across apps.

8. Children's privacy

Score Tracker collects no information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is gathered or transmitted, the app cannot knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from a child.

9. Deleting your data

You are in full control of everything the app stores. On both platforms:

Android

iPhone

Since we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no deletion request to submit.

10. Purchases

Score Tracker is a paid application. Your purchase is processed entirely by the store you buy it from — Google Play on Android, the App Store on iPhone. We never receive, see, or store your payment details, billing address, or any part of your payment method. That transaction is governed by the store's own privacy policy: the Google Privacy Policy or the Apple Privacy Policy.

Both stores also provide us with aggregate, anonymised statistics about downloads and sales as part of their developer tools. This information comes from Google and Apple, not from the app, and does not identify individual users.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future version of the app ever collects data — for example, to add an optional feature that shares content between devices — this policy will be updated before that version is released, along with the Google Play Data Safety declaration and the App Store privacy details.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or about privacy in Score Tracker can be sent to cudafish.dev@gmail.com.
